We chose to write about a wonderful Mana Tane in our lives.
Nevaeh Last Friday we hopped on the bus to go to the Matariki Festival. I was so excited when we hopped off the bus. The performances were amazing. Then it was our turn.I felt proud I stood up straight but I was not doing the pukana.Nana and grandad were watching us. I was a little bit shy and nervous too. Lots of schools were there. We listened to the other schools perform.I smelt the hangi, it was delicious!

Nevaeh I think every class should have a class. Pets make people happy. A class pet makes the classroom feel like a special welcoming place. A pet teaches students how to care for a living thing. Every class should have a class pet.
Firstly a pet makes people happy. We can be calm if a dog jumps on you. When you feel sad it can make you happy. When you make a film with your class your class pet can be in the film festival too.
Secondly a class pet makes a classroom feel like a welcoming place, so you can feel special because you can pet the dog all day. You can bring a toy for the dog.
Finally a pet teaches students how to care for a living thing.
You bath it so it can be clean. When it does a thingy on the floor you will have to scoop it up yuck`!
